A practical checklist of the paperwork for road freight from Dubai to Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah, and how to avoid delays at Ghuwaifat and Batha.
Most border delays on the UAE–Saudi route are caused by paperwork, not traffic. If your documents are complete before the truck is loaded, the crossing at Ghuwaifat and Batha is usually routine.
The basic checklist
- Commercial invoice with HS codes, values and the full consignee details in Saudi Arabia
- Packing list matching the invoice line by line
- Certificate of origin, issued by the chamber of commerce for GCC-origin goods
- Export declaration from UAE customs
- Saudi customs appointment for the truck at the border
Tips that save time
Make sure the consignee name and commercial registration in Saudi Arabia are written exactly the same on every document. Share the documents with your transport company at least one working day before loading so they can be checked.
MAB Transport reviews every document before the truck leaves Dubai. Book a truck or WhatsApp our team to start.
